If you like that sort of atuff then look for:

Captain Tractor

The Mudmen

Seven Nations

Flogging Molly

All great celtic crossover bands. Captain Tractor is the most traditional of all of them but they sing "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate" a must for anyone's iPod.

I really like the Murphy's "For Boston" and their version of Scotland the Brave

Well now, they are my favorite band, and have some of the best videos. "World Full Of Hate" is an amazing song too.

I always loved the DKMs, and The Mudmen as well.

The Mudmen have this great way of incorporating the pipes into something of rock-like music.

"Brother" is another great band with bagpipes. We heard them live in Tempe several years ago, but haven't heard much of them lately.

The Mudmen, Drink and Fight, a must for any lover of this type of music!

I love the DKM and play them often to piss off the Brits who call it 'rebel music'. Haahha ;D

I am a bit of a fan of the DKM, I also enjoy the Young Dubliners.

"I'm shipping up to boston"

I like this song from Dropkick Murphy, It was in The Departed Movie. pretty cool

There is probably no better way to end a concert than the DKM do with "Skinhead On The MBTA".  I've seen the band crowd surfing on their own stage and still managing to hammer out the tune.

All that and they are hockey fans too!

I am a huge diehard DKM fan.

some trivia,

their piper, scruffy is a former CalgHigh. his brother served in afghanistan with the strathconas.

the song "last letter home" is written about an american marine Sgt andrew farrar who was killed in Al Anbar iraq. he was a fan, and requested that the song fields of athenry be played at the funeral. not only was it played, but the band played it live, and recorded a special edition of the song and put out a special CD with proceeds going to his children. last letter home features letters that were written between him and his family back home.

they are stauch supporters of the troops, and put on a great live show.

other great songs-

Fields of athenry
barroom hero
Forever (i have a tattoo of forever on my arm actually......me and some friends got it before we start deploying and the like...great song)
the boys on the docks
green fields of france
shipping up to boston
heroes of our past
as one
your spirits alive
the auld triangle

and of course- kiss me im shitfaced.

seen them live in Moncton, NB a couple months back, they definitly put on one hell of a show.

I guess they regularly visit the east coast but that was the first time I'd seen them live
