Ron Alsop, author of The Trophy Kids Grow Up, about the “millennial” generation of today’s coddled kids, called the hunt “the perfect metaphor for millennial children.” He added, “They [parents] can’t stay out of their children’s lives. They don’t give their children enough chances to learn from hard knocks, mistakes.”

That just says it all right there.

Just had a discussion today about enabling kids instead of making accommodations for them in schools. It seems too many times we have kids pushed through the system because they failed, instead of learning from those mistakes.

I'm calling it the "School of Soft Knocks".  :facepalm:
