Expedited Naturalization Executive Order of 2002

All foreign born non-US citizens serving in the US armed forces are eligible for expedited naturalization from the date the Executive Order to a date in the future. Each service will provide assistance with the N-400 form.

I went through this process when it was first initiated and it took nearly a year to process and I had to pay the full filling fees.  I am now told that it is free for serving military members and takes roughly six months.

Most base legal offices can assist in preparing the paperwork to go with it.  It was about time they did something like this for the service members.
