#5&6: Amen to that :)

1. Experts notice features and meaningful patterns of information that are not noticed by novices.
2. Experts have acquired a great deal of content knowledge that is organized in ways that reflect a deep understanding of their subject matter.
3. Experts’ knowledge cannot be reduced to sets of isolated facts or propositions but, instead, reflects contexts of applicability: that is, the knowledge is “conditionalized” on a set of circumstances.
4. Experts are able to flexibly retrieve important aspects of their knowledge with little attentional effort.
5. Though experts know their disciplines thoroughly, this does not guarantee that they are able to teach others.
6. Experts have varying levels of flexibility in their approach to new situations.

Cool thread! I'll give it go at adding.

1.  Experts notice features and meaningful patterns of information that are not noticed by novices.

They also recall persons of interest and encourage collaborative discussion.

2.  Experts have acquired a great deal of content knowledge that is organized in ways that reflect a deep understanding of their subject matter.

Yes, and maybe a few other subjects too.

3.   Experts’ knowledge cannot be reduced to sets of isolated facts or propositions but, instead, reflects contexts of applicability: that is, the knowledge is “conditionalized” on a set of circumstances.

At the expert level, there are no longer cut and dry answers. They are subjected to the never ending list of "what ifs".

4.  Experts are able to flexibly retrieve important aspects of their knowledge with little attentional effort.

In concept yes, but in detail perhaps not.

5.  Though experts know their disciplines thoroughly, this does not guarantee that they are able to teach others.

Very difficult to span the knowledge base of an audience. Experts will tend to engage with other experts, while not making enough time for novices. Experts will also look for interesting conversation and want to be challenged on their ideas.

6.  Experts have varying levels of flexibility in their approach to new situations.

Very true if they are too set in their ways. A true expert will listen and adapt when required.

One of my favourite quotes.
