Failed CFAT twice, question regarding upgrade

I couldn't find an exact question so I made this topic. I failed twice in the span of two years but I know I did better the second time. I'm aware you need academic "upgrading" to write the 3rd time, but my question is what is considered an upgrade? I already know majority of people do bad on the verbal and spatial you can't really study for, I know I did bad on the math but now I realize what to practice for. So my second question is instead of upgrading doing a course that doesn't reflect what's on the CFAT or what I want do to (combat arms) I feel a tutor for the math would be the best help. Will this be considered a reason to let me re write with a letter from a certified tutor regarding my progress? I plan on going to the CFRC but just wanted input

Perhaps not proper to answer a question with a question, but sometimes isn't it better to "hit two birds with one stone"? So wouldn't you get further ahead by taking a math upgrade course and perhaps have a tutor help you study for that? This way you get a new credit (upgrade) and learn proper study habits?

I thought of this also, but most schools don't have an upgrade course for math that is on the on the test. I was taking a pre university class but didn't finish but evenĀ  if I had finished a course of this level it still wouldn't help. I guess the best bet would be to take a math course at a school for high school drop outs which would be the closest thing
