this is my first post. I tried to search for a previous thread regarding my question but could not find one. If there is one I oppologize. Anyway. I am going to apply tommorrow. I am having a baby at the begining of june and am getting married at the end of august. If I dont apply now, I might never do it. Once I start basic, how long should I expect to have to wait until I get to see my Kid and Wife again? Whatever the answer, I‘m still going to join, I just want to have a rough idea in my head.

You will get a weeknd off at approximatly 6 weeks of training dureing basic training, you could use that weeknd to see your family. The next time after that will be graduation 4 weeks later.

^ weeks is a general guidline took my groupd 7 weeks, other platoons had their weeknd at 5 weeks. it really depends.
