I have a few questions that i have been looking through thread after thread and i cant seem to find the right answers. I am 17 years old going into grade 12 and I'm planning to apply for ROTP as Electric and Mechanical Engineer Officer and Aerospace Engineer Officer. Based on the forums, applicants have a better chance of getting in if they have an 80 percent average. I took Pre-cal, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and English and i managed to have an 83 percent (Grade 11). If I knew I was going into the ROTP i would've join leadership classes. Ever since i set my mind applying, ive been jogging and getting myself prepared for the training. Already started my essay and trying to get all the right documents prepared. I havent applied yet because the site said "The site is closed in preparation of the 2014 ROTP-RETP campaign and will reopen on August 15th." so im guessing the recruitment centre will start handing applications on the 15th? I still cant apply because the school is closed so i have to wait till i get my transcripts.
Do i need a highschool diploma to get in?
I never got a job because i have responsibilities (babysitting foster kids) and i want to focus on my studies, will i be less competitive?
i have never spoken french but i am bilingual (English and Tagalog) will that also make me less competitive?
If i am able to apply this month, the recruitment centre will not be able to see my grade 12 marks, my sports, and leadership experiences since i applied with my grade 11 year, will they still look at my grade 12 year?
