Hey all - been a heck of a long time since I've posted on here but here goes. Subsequent to my Army career I now find myself as a Training Officer for a large metropolitan fire department. Part of my portfolio is fitness with the recruit classes, in conjunction with our union's Wellness and Fitness committee.

Now.... growing up in London Ontario with a now-late stepfather who was in the reserves, and nurtured my 9 year old dreams of being a soldier - he gave me a poster that I still recall to this day for it's simple, blunt message. Hence the subject

The poster was big, and a close up photo of a cammed up, presumably infantry soldier, charging through cattails, with 7.62 link belts draped over his shoulders and a PRC-77 on his back. His steel helmet had the US M81 cam cover, and I can't recall any unit identifiers. I think the poster may have been produced in the late 80's, early 90's by one of the various SW Ontario Militia commands that existed at that time.

I'd love to get a digital copy - I've searched and searched online to no avail. Just trying out here if anyone recalls said poster, or could point me to where someone would have said image?

Cheers

Metro, please.

I remember those posters. Definitely around 1989 or so when they came out. I recall that there was a series of them. One of them was a guy out for a run on his own time. And I do remember the one you describe. If I remember correctly, they were aimed at reservists to encourage embracing fitness "on your own time".

Anyone see the poster Jjjjjiiiiimmmmy had made when he was Comd 1 CMBG?

No. Did the sock have blue thread?
