Foreign academic credentials assessment

For joining the forces DEO, I assume that I must have my foreign academic credentials assessed by a Canadian authority? I remember my wife had to go through a similar process to get her German degree recognized for work in Canada.
- The the Canadian Forces have their own credential assessment service?
- Do I have to seek out places such as http://www.cicic.ca/1374/obtain-an-academic-credential-assessment-for-general-purposes/index.canada to prove to the Forces that I am eligible for DEO?
