After calling applicants and offering them a job over the phone, does the CF send applicants a formal letter in the mail stating that they've been selected for training?

I didn't get an official paper letter.  I did however get an email with all the dates and times of my enrollment and training along with the joining instructions.

I was told that their would be some papers in the far distant future, and not to expect anything anytime soon.

I had talked to my file manager and she had to fill in some questions like did i want to get swore  in on a bible, did i need storage for items, travel accommodations, where to send the papers etc.

If it is ROTP related it is likely that you can find a lot of info here as many of us ask the same questions about enrollement.  Even if you are not entering with ROTP it is likely that there are similar ways of getting the offer.

The reason I ask is because I want to start a bank account with BMO before I leave for BMQ because they have special accounts for CF members. It says on their site that recruits can open an account before actually starting in the CF if they produce a document stating they have been selected.

Depending on which RC you're enrolling at ... your enrolment should be about a week before you leave for BMQ ... you should have PLENTY of time to take any paperwork you're given and go to the bank.

I got my offer over the phone on May 17th, and today July 20th i received my full package in the mail to be filled out and returned on Sept 14th my swearing in Date.
