Presumed innocent until proven guilty via due process, as usual. Court docs attached.

Amazing. Every paragraph just gets better, too. Dude handed in a CV saying he’s a USN test pilot, and in reality he has no pilot’s license. Inconsistent educational background across various applications.

Amazing, amazing work by the security clearance vetting shop.

I’d love to know what he did for CIA that “I need millions of dollars in gold bars for work” without detail given was plausible, reasonable, and they gave him the gold.

Someone in the administration’s gonna be super pissed that a regime somewhere didn’t get changed because this dude yoinked the gold.

Sometimes pure audacity will carry you a long way. Asking for 40 mil in gold would infer that you have support from someone high up and neck deep in some sort of black ops. Likely he was very convincing to people. One can also infer that these sort of transactions are more common in the CIA, then they would like you to know.

Perhaps he was trying to emulate his "namesake" and going for a Guinness record.

I suspect there not. And currently everyone at Langley is insanely jealous.

...or they are nervous that they'll get caught too since the spotlight is now on these types of transactions

Maybe all he needed to say was the gold was required for the new bling at the White House. It's gonna be a big ballroom.
