Hello, A Question about the Fragmentation Protective Vest.

When would you wear the FPV?

What are the shoulder pads on the FPV for?

Do the shoulder pad restrict movement of the arm? (Like raising your arms do the shoulder pads come off or stay up when you lower your arms?)

And does anybody have a picture of the proper way to wear the shoulder pads.

Thanks

Who are you and why do you want this info? From what I see from your posts, you are a civvie, why does it matter to you? If you join, you will wear the FPV when you are told pretty much, don't worry about small things.

Anyways, when is the FPV worn, on tour pretty much whenever there is a threat, ie outside the wire, during a TIC in the FOB/COP, Rocket Attack in KAF, etc In Canada'it's worn on the range, during Field Excercises, unit PT when needed, whenever you are told to wear it, etc

The shoulder protectors surprisingly enough, protect the shoulders and arms.

If you want a picture of it worn, look at the hundreds of pics of troops in Afghanistan and in Canada that are online.

Yeah, i always worry about the small thing like the camo cover on the helmets.

Anyways, thanks that cleared things up. Thanks
