Hi Guys,

Looking into getting my language profile started. I have enrolled on an in-house 12 weeks beginner's course, and I just have questions for those that have taken the language test RECENTLY. I know the complete read, write and speak is 5 points, but what is involved in the test for obtaining an A on one's MPRR for 1 point? Also what does the test for the complete package involve?

What have you found to be the best way to learn, part from watching tv and speaking to people? Are there any good materials that you recommend out there?

Cheers

Points for what?  PER points at the merit boards?

Not sure about the read and write part but here are the details wrt the oral test.

I didn't realize officers were 5 points, I thought it was 3 points for officers and NCMs.

For officers:

Reading - up to 1 point
Writing - up to 1 point
Oral interation - up to 3 points.

Can't tell you what you require for an "A", or what percentage of a point that gives you in each category.

The scores depend on rank and level. There is a document about it on the CM site on the DWAN.
