Now that i have your attention...

This is just a little thing that I noticed while browsing the forums. Its similar to the whole "CADPAD" thing (where its actually "CADPAT").

OD, is Olive Drab. Olive is the colour. Drab is the shade/texture (not sure what you‘d consider it, so I‘ll refer to it as a shade).

So think...

Can it be OD Green? no, because olive and green are both colours (remembering drab is the shade), right?

Can it be Olive Green (OG)? no, because olive and green are both colours. Its the same problem as the first example.

So OD does make sense. Any comments/questions are welcome.

Chris.

Green is a colour, olive is a shade.

Olive Green
Kelly Green
Forest Green
Rifle Green
Lagoon Green

are all different shades of green

you could also have

Dark Olive Green
Medium Olive Green
Light Olive Green

Drab is a texture - like matt, semi-gloss, etc.

Black olives come in cans and green ones in jars why so is this? :p :dontpanic:

You can get black ones in jars.

And what about Kalmata Olives? There‘s sort of a reddish colour.

I always thought Olive Oil was sexy with her long thin arms and high pitched voice. If only Popeye wouldn‘t have been around I probably could‘ve made a move on her.

Because green ones can have pimentos in them, they are glass so you can distinguish whether they have em or not :blotto:

Wait, I‘ll check my crayola box and get back to you guys on this one

What does it say about Popeye when we still have extra virgin olive oil? :blotto:
