I always take the baby (19 months old) with me when I go pick up my oldest at cadets.  Well, the baby seems to be completely enthralled with it as he has started trying to do drill along with the cadets.  When the commands for Attention and Stand at ease are called (in both english and french) he lifts his right foot and then stomps it down.

He was even mesmerized at the Remembrance day ceremony and the pipes & drums.  Not to mention when we were watching the Canadian National Drill Team video on youtube that someone posted.  He was awestruck.  I've never seen a kid, much less a toddler pay that much attention to and enjoy that sort of thing before.  It's very entertaining.

Lil_T,  that is so cute ... what a little charmer ... start calling him commander and see how he responds ;D

My kids are 21 and 27 and not so cute anymore (although lovable). Cherish those moments.

I enjoy every minute - he's so darn funny.  No doubt he'll be on army.ca too, in about 16 years... hehehehe

Make sure to post the links to the U-Tube videos you end up posting of his "drill."  ;D

will do  :)  I'll remember to bring the camera with me on Wednesday.

thanks - the kids get a kick out of him too.  Props to them, because they all keep a straight face while he's doing it (although the first time he did it a few of them cracked).

that is very cute Lil_T.

he's destined for greatness, no cow kick, and a good hard bang. haha
