I hate seeing separatists groups; why are they tolerated? In the same way that a rioter could claim that he/she was using their right to "free speach", the governments would disagree because they are a threat to public order.
The FLQ (as well as countless other seperatist organizations - like the ETA in Spain) have shown that serious separatist groups eventually turn towards civil disobedience or violence. Why shouldnât the government crack down on them now, citing national security?
