I was wondering if anyone knew what type of gloves these were?

Looks to be Blackhawk SOLAG gloves in nomex.  I used these overseas and got good use put of em.  Two pairs lasted about six months of daily use.

Or Fury Commando also by Blackhawk.  They use this kind of padding for a few of their gloves.

Thanks a lot again. Would you by chance happen to know how they may compare to the Oakley Pilot Gloves? Just came back from an Ex and the Oakley ones got pretty destroyed.

I'm not familiar with the Oakley pilot gloves, however, if they're anything like other pilot gloves in general then they are likely not as durable as these blackhawk gloves.  I remember about eight to ten years ago the wearing of pilot gloves among infantrymen was fairly common.  This was before there was a large ammount of commercial tactical gloves to choose from.  They were very comfortable and provided great dexterity but at reduced durability.

I used two pairs of the Fury Commando gloves in Kandahar.  Around five months in small holes began forming on the thumb and index fingers, but didn't become a problem until month seven.  They endured 12 to 18 hour days in summer heat in a frontline role.  So I'd give em a high rating.  After tour I cut the fingers off and now use them as range gloves as the palms and cuffs are still great.

Hope that helps.
