I want to post a few photos of the Gold Star Mothers National Monument in The U.S.A..
The mother depicted in the statue has just been handed a telegram during World War Two. It is shown crumpled in her hand on the small table by the over turned flower pot beside the photo of her lost child.
Although mothers are no longer notified by telegram, the pain can be no less severe now than it ever was.
