enrolling today.  sent in my  app through the mail with all my back check forms printed clearly and in CAPITAL letters ha ha... tried this once before and got bogged down at the medical stage and life was for the most part unforgiving at the time and didn't afford the time to jump the hoops required. A few months before i got out was the worst medical period of my life.  Had mild pneumonia was on pat platoon due a med issue was smoking 2 packs  a day, and was coming up with any excuse i could come up with to get outta the shacks due to total boredom and to top it all off my wife was very ill. needless to say I was generally a pain to be around.    :crybaby:

Due to those circumstances i feel that this is going to be a onslaught on my fortitude and resolve.  I am worried that due to my hypochondriac state near the end of my career i have seriously hampered my chances of getting back in.  I was tested for asthma before i was released and apparently i failed the test.  unfortunately like i said i was up to 2 packs a day at the time and had pneumonia ha ha.  I  have bee reading a lot of posts about people with asthma getting in with doctors notes. How viable a solution is is this? should i get the note before asked and present it at the medical? Have never used melds for asthma so obtaining a note is the easy part.  Getting the CF to accept it i think will be the tough part.

Well step one is complete. the paperwork is in and the ball is rolling.

time to pull out all the stops and rejoin the friends i regret leaving everyday.

Before I begin, please note I'm not a medical professional at all. However, I highly doubt a doctor is going to give you a note regarding your lack asthma without testing you first, regardless of a lack of prior diagnosis.

That being said, if you're off the smokes now, and you're not dealing with pneumonia, you definitely stand a better chance of passing the tests.

Good luck dude!

my family doctor did give me a note stating, he has never givein me meds for ashtma and after examination he see's no reason i should be on asthma meds, so thats good news.

running 7k a day right now and working on the onehundred push up club too.  I'M hoping that the med staff will give me a green light. If they dont i guess ill have to take the tests again, I'm sure that with perservearance and determination it will all work it's self out in the end
