I saw the Sabre fly over my shop today. We are under a bit of a flight path, but the sound of that one stood out enough for me to drop the torch and head outside, and I'm glad I did. VERY cool to see an old bird like that flying. There's a local dude who owns an older Mig (15?) of the same vintage. Would be cool to see them on the tarmac together.

Teaching  on a Raven/BMQ right now at Work Point. Planes flying overhead are far from extraordinary (to say the least). But when I heard a low flying jet and looked up, even thought I understood what I saw could not reconcile why an Gold F-freaking-86 Sabre was flying circles overhead.

It was great to explain a bit of the Sabre to the recruits and get positive responses.

Saw a Nieuport 17 and what looked like a SPAD VII chasing each other down around Dockyard this afternoon.

Caught the Corsair as it did a couple of racetracks around Comox this afternoon.  Absolutely beautiful aircraft.

They sure are a beautiful pair of planes, and I hope that everyone gets a chance to see them.

As for the first photo, it's mine, I guess they just didn't credit it appropriately.  Nothing that a little email can't solve.  :)

Have a great day and weekend everyone, please make it out to the show if you can!
