Guest banned?

hi, recently, I tried to log on to my account through my school library computer. I noticed that the guest function for the computer was banned and wasn't able to log on until I moved to the next computer (which I'm on right now) Could you tell me which account or which guest messaged caused the ban?
I'm just curious because I may know the person who is responsible for it.

Most likely the IP has been previously banned.

I have logged on before from different places and run into a Banned IP
and unable to access.  It happens rarely (I assume) but has happened to me twice.

Yeah as far as I know (and I may be wrong) you can ban some IP Address'. Perhaps a Mod could shed some more light on here.

It is unusual that two computers linked up to the same LAN system in a School are on radically different IP addresses.  Perhaps it is the result of someone's previous ban and Cookies being stored on that machine. 

There was a person who registered on this site under the name Guest, and Guess, who was BANNED, so that may also be the reason, if you were attempting to log on as Guest.......A slap on the wrist out to you for trying.

If you know of someone who may be abusing the rules of your School and posting inappropriately from its computers, you should report them.  If you don't report them, then if a problem arises on this site, and we BAN those IP addresses, then you will no longer be able to access from your school.  As a matter of fact, there is already several accounts Banned from your school's IP address.  Any more trouble and you will all suffer from the loss of access.

thank you for the links, yup that's him all right. He's been pretending to be in the Lorne Scots since he was 15 and now claims that he is a trained private. Apparently the lie was discovered when I finished my entrance. He literally avoids talking to me all the time ever since I said to him " Hey, Howcome you say you are in my unit and never show up?"
