Hamas invaded Israel 2023

Two Israeli Embassy staffers have been shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. One person is in custody and was reported to have chanted “free Palestine” in custody. My own speculation- sounds like a ‘target of opportunity’ hit outside a known Jewish event/site. Police have named Elias Rodriguez as the suspect, and have said he’s not previously known to police.

Thanks for the update.

A reminder that, federally, terrorism isn’t something that’s distinctly charged like we do up here, but rather comes into play at the sentencing stage. I won’t be surprised if we see that in this case.

The biggest question will be if he’s offered a plea deal to avoid the death penalty, and if he takes it?

News interview with Elite IDF tunnel warfare unit. After listening to Israelis speak, I have this urge to hack every few sentences..

I really fail to see any actual goal or plan to actually beat Hamas, and really seems more about punishing everyone in Gaza and killing as many people as possible. Their lack of any apparent strategy at this point only really makes sense if their goal is to wipe out everyone that lives there and take it over, and they don't seem to care if they leave (which they can't anyway) or die.

If the IDF goal was killing as many people as possible, they really suck at it. War is by it's nature 'punishment". Hamas exist as long as the people think it is worth having them. We had to crush the Nazi's for the Germans to get out from under their yoke. The majority of Palestinians approved of Hamas actions on Oct 7th. We have tried everything else, now it's time to crush Hamas, who could save their people any day since Oct 7th by surrendering and returning the living and dead hostages. But they don't, because Hamas does not give a shit about the average Palestinian. It's time for average palestinians to start killing Hamas members and telling to IDF where the hostages are.

I think we may have a different definition of sucking at it, but I doubt the average Palestinian cares about much more than not starving at this point, even if that means risking getting gunned down by the IDF at a handout. I'm sure a lot of others may also be taking up arms anyway, as if their alternative is starving while being driven off their land and/or shot at/blown up, may as well get some payback.

Prior to Oct 7th, no Gazans where been driven off their land. The IDF is in Gaza because of Oct 7th and the hostages, the solution to the Gazan problem is actually really simple. Give up the majority of Hamas members and hostages. As long as Hamas remain as a power in Gaza, the border to Egypt will not be opened at all. Hamas is a wing of the MB, who are the mortal enemies of the Egyptian government. Unless Hamas is out of the picture, there is no hope for Gaza. You also have to get rid of UNRWA, as they are complicit in propping up Hamas and helping them. Let UNHCR with completely new staff and a deadline of only a decade to stabilize Gaza after the conflict. The majority of the propaganda about starving is that Hamas is starting to lose control of the food distribution, which is the only way it can make money and control the people. That is why they are trying to make the other aid distribution sites fail. The UN has relief supplies rotting in the sun, because they only want to use Hamas linked aid sites. Also the "Gazan Health authority" is part of Hamas and controlled by them.

I purposely only talked about Gaza as the West Bank is a whole other ball of wax.
