Ooo-rah!  Semper Fi!  (and all that jazz).

I have nothing but fond memories of serving along side 3/8 USMC during Op HALO in 2004, as part of MAGTF 8, under this guy:

(That's-then Colonel Charles Gurganus, who in Oct 2009 took over as Commanding General, United States Marine Corps Forces Korea in his current rank of Major General.)

Edit to add: I forgot that he goes by "Mark" and that his current billet is Commanding General, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).  Anyway, Happy Birthday, USMC!
