Heard fom my son they will be aloud to have a couple beer on Canada Day in Afghanistan. And this was posted on the CTV.CA site

There are rumours the soldiers will be allowed to buy two bottles of ice cold beer each on Canada Day, the first brews many of them will have enjoyed in a long time.

Being in Afghanistan for so long I can only imagine how good those beers would be.
