I have been awarded a DA of 40% based on my release medical, but I am now considered to have a Hearing Disability (VA's words based on my award). I have been on LTD since I was released, and I have no loud hobbies, not even a stereo. The loudest thing that I have been exposed to is a car alarm going off. VA is arguing that my hearing loss since my release has nothing to do with the Military, so I am placing an appeal, since SISIP has stated that I will probably never work again. Has anyone else had this happen, and if so, how did you deal with it?
Thanks in advance for any info/advice you can forward my way!!
Edit: I forgot to add that I had a MRI done to rule out any other problems causing this, and the MRI was normal.
