Hey all, question

Hey, I'm 16, born in St. Catharines but now living in Owen Sound, Ontario...  Pretty cool here but I have to go to Meaford to train...  But anyways, I'm still in the forms process...  My family friend has to send the refrence sheet still and I really want to be the army or reserves ASAP but my recruitor told me to hand in everything ASAP...  Is it too late to go for the summer course?  I plan to go full time army ASAP, parents want me to finish highschool before I go full time but I just want in whenver I can...  Im sorry if I sound desperate but its been a big dream for some time now and I'm ready...  I'm not worried about any of the tests, I can take the mental test and the physical will be easy...  I'm just worried I won't be able to join the summer course for my BMQ in time...  Can someone please help me out?  Add me to msn, send a private message, anything.  I just need help with this.

Well, I can't tell you for sure how long it takes cause everyone is different, but from my recent app and just getting my call, it took 3.5 - 4 months for the whole process(that is from the day of first handing in my app to the day of getting my call and having a date of my basic set).  So with that in mind you may make the June basic or July, just hope that there are no hiccups in your app.

1) You really want to be the army or reserves? Reserves are part-time Armed forces members which makes you a member of the army.

2) I strongly suggest you get your education high school diploma atleast dont rush into the military with grade 10 you could end up having a hard time. Education takes you a long way.

3) You should worry about the tests It's a good thing having that feelings in the pit of your stomach.

4) You will not be able to join the Regular Force as you are only 16..you can join reserves with a parent/guardians consent so again dont leave your education you can finish high school while in the reserves.

5) And it really depends how fast your paper work goes considering you have no problems in the Medical, Background Check, Physical, and CFAT it's a possiblity to make the summer BMQ Course but again this is not from experience just general knowledge.

6) Call Your RECRUITER!!
