Hey guys, I'm sure this has been asked alot, so I aplogize beforehand.
Hopefully this is the correct forum area as well, but I figured it related.
Anyways, my question is how fit should I be before signing up w/ the military?
At the time being it's been a few years since graduating, and I really haven't been very physically active throughout this time, so I'm pretty unfit as it stands.
I'd like to be prepared before going to basic training, but I'm not sure when is enough, and how I can best train.
EDIT: I can always read around here for this stuff, I saw a sticky up top, but the point of this thread is mostly asking how I know when I'm fit to easily pass basic training's physical requirements
I've never been the best at scheduling time for fitness, and eating the massive amounts needed; just wondering if it's still possible to get fit at a decent pace if you eat like a regular person (for some reason downing 2 bananas is like impossible to me)
Anyways, I'm clueless when it comes to the muscle side of things, I've just been doing pushups until my body won't let me do them anymore, and for cardiovascular I've just been hiking up a mountain every second day, and going for walks just to stay active, but I know none of this is going to do a whole lot.
Any info is appreciated, I just need a couple techniques I can stick with
Thanks
