How important is having, in your possesion, a citizenship certificate in terms of going overseas or going to the US, keep in mind I have a Military and Civilian passport, I am asking this because my citizenship certificate was lost by passport Canada, and applying for a replacement citizenship certificate is turning out to be a long process if you weren't born in Canada, I'm just a little worried that this will end up coming to bite me in the ***.

Shouldn't be an issue. Your passport is proof of citizenship.  Passport guys "lost" my citizenship cert years ago, too.
