Seems to be a common theme at this time of the year amongst people who have already applied for the CF and who have subsequently been turned down.....

So, you applied for the CF and your file is currently with your "local" Recruiting Centre, when all of a sudden, you're told that because there are NO jobs available, your application will be CLOSED within 30 days and you need to "reapply" again in March or April.

Have you ever thought to ask about paragraph 2 under the "Instructions" portion on the front page of your application form which clearly states.......

INSTRUCTIONS  ( http://cdn.forces.ca/_PDF2010/CF_application_form_demande_emploi_FC.pdf )

2. Should you be deemed eligible and competitive for one of the occupational fields you selected and positions either become vacant or are foreseen as being available in the very near future, you will be contacted for further processing. In any event, your file will remain active for one year from date of receipt before being closed. A new application will then be required to reactivate your file.

Just saying...............

That is referred to as "reading the fine print".  A valuable lifeskill any teen or young adult should master before applying to any organization, buying a car, taking out a mortgage or getting married.

Few women come with fine print, but it's best to check very closely before marrying anyway, just in case.

Small font tattoos, maybe?  It also helps to read the pre-nup before you sign that.

That sucks... as far as I know, mine hasn't been closed, and I'm waiting too. *knocks on wood*
Maybe because I've stayed in contact with them constantly, but I don't know... I recently changed my alternate occupation choices, and I've called a few times, while emailing for questions regularly.
Maybe it was the contact, if you didn't stay in touch.

Ahhwell, just re-apply next year?
