I been have trouble getting into shape for the CF.
Currently I can do 17 push ups 2 days ago and now I can can only do 12.  There always seems to be a problem with how many I can do any given day.  Unless I do it every day. Then I get tired and take 2 days off.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I have been having a problem with running. I tried keeping at 6m/h but got stuck at 9Min's. It got worse scene then. I lowered the speed to 5m/h and I can do it for 2.4 km comfortably. Going to try 5km tomorrow. Then I'm going to increase the speed.
Is this a good way to train?

I have been going to the gym for over a year. I cut out all junk food and Alcohol scene 27 December 2010. I would drink once a week and have a chocolate bar every second day.  I feel I can live without both for the rest of my life.  I have scene been dropping the weight I gained over Christmas and still losing a pound a week.

188 pounds and dropping.

I can wear my old size 36 jeans again.
I belief a job offer will come up in April.  Would I be able to pass the fitness test for the regular forces by then?

Yes you can, by utilizing the search tool. There have been plenty of questions like this asked and answered on the site. Keep pushing yourself and remember that your body will need rest too. Good luck

Ultimately you have to stay consistent.  Once you make training as much a part of your life as brushing your teeth, you will see the results.  I would recommend following a safe progressive program.  The Army Fitness Manual has a decent one to follow if your looking for one.

Otherwise you could try plugging in some results into: http://www3.cfpsa.com/EXPRESprescription/ and generating a program.  All you have to do is put in your 2.4k time, push number, sit-ups in a minute and guess handgrip.  If your clueless put in 75 for hand grip.  The program will cater to your fitness level with the goal of passing the test as you go on.
