Let's see now.

17 years old means you need your parents signed permission on your application form.

17 years old in Ontario means you can not join the Regular Force.  You must be 18.

You also registered for this site, and did not read the site Guidelines.  You may have found the topics that would have answered your queries, without you having to post them, however you didn't use the Search function and try.

There are no guarantees in Life.

Why would you plan to not finish school??  Like George said, there are no guarantees in life - add to that the parental consent and age restrictions in Ontario and it's not looking good.  I have to wonder if you say this because you are under the assumption that infantrymen are uneducated or scraping the bottom of the intellectual barrel.  The mere fact that you are trying to skate by on the bare minimum is very telling.

Stay in school - I cannot stress that enough.  What happens if god forbid you join, get into the infantry, are severely injured in combat and cannot remain in the CF?  Try to have some foresight.  It's important to have something to fall back on - just in case.

For the love of money please finish school the army will still be there when your done school .

It's only one more year until you graduate unless you're behind, but if you want to be in the military that badly just join the reserves until you do finish school.
