At one of my civilan job, Im working with a guy wo told me he use to be infantry in Montreal. and he told they did push ups with dog poo in there face...(that is were I stopped beleiving him)

after I ask him...what guns did he used...he told me m16... (hahaha)

After I started to ignore him...

but what fun I had...

... SN is only good for those who enrolled after a certain date.  Many who served used their Social insurance number throughout their whole career.

WRT talking about M16s... a lot of military types will talk about the C7 and compare it to the M16 - for members of the public to relate to.... so even the M16 comment does not count him out.

Personally,

I've found the best bet, especially when you get the drunk guy at the bar, is to let them keep talking...You can usually tell from their stories, the lingo they use, stuff like that, wethere they were the real deal or not.

I just smile and let them go on...sometimes it's real, sometimes it's not.
