I want to be a mechanic

I looked on the site could not find mechanics on it.
what im wondering is could i go apply for the army with no experience in mechanics and have them train me?
Is there a good chance i could be a mechanic?
also, someone i know says there son makes 90k a year as a heavy duty mechanic in the army, yet hes only been in for 3 years. I didn't think the base pay changed for trades

That all depends on what details the parent picked up from their son and how they were interpreted.  If the son was quoting total earnings for a year including a tour overseas, then gross earnings of $90K or close to it may be a possible estimate, depending on what rank he is. Note that the info presented here is third-hand and incomplete.
