On SM the other day some were bitching about the old and retired talking about the good old days. Against my better judgment I piped in with “Ah the good old days, with full ships companies, experienced instructors at the schools, a decent amount of base housing, no pier head jumping, in house Nav Architects, and a capable dockyard.” The retort was ”And the blatant misogyny”. My reply was yes there was, but when did we lose the ability to identify good and bad, get rid of the bad and enhance the good? Similar to Lessons Learned?? Or did we forget that as well?”
