I saw it on the tube and they interviewed a RE Sapper who made it to the bridge.
Col Sutherland Brown former Col.Commandant of the C.M.E. was there rescuing the Para's as a young Lt. along with other Sapper's of the R.C.E. once they got word all was lost.
