Infantry Officer - 2005 Posting Preference

Good post, as a B Class guy most of the info I gather is from different sources but it is hard to check out the info sometimes.

From what I've seen and heard, everyone tends to agree that the Patricia NCO's are advancing faster then the RCR NCO's.  I've got a Sgt in my platoon from 3VP who was telling me about the attrition rates due to the oil industry (and other factors) out west.  This time last year we had a number of Patricia Pte's on the Inf 2B's, I'm pretty sure we haven't had any RCR Pte's.

I'm still under the impression though, that it is more difficult to get on a tour as a Pl Comd if your unit keeps getting Coy deployments instead of deploying as a Bn every few years.  It is pretty cool though that some guys in 2RCR have managed to get two tours as Pl Comd's.  I hadn't heard that anyone had gotten two until a few days ago, I'm working with Dave M. from Golf Coy and he was saying his roommate went on Roto 0 to Afghanistan and to Haiti.  Lucky bastards.

For us dirt-bag reservists you gotta sell your soul and go CIMIC to deploy.
