Forumites,

There doesn't seem to be or at least I can't seem to find it, a document that  goes over the whole PRB process with references, when operating in a traing environment. Anyone have related docs or able to point in the directions of where to find it?

thx

DAOD 5019-0 Conduct and Performance Deficiencies is the (or part of) National level policy.  I don't know what environment you are working in, but as an example, in the RCAF, there is a 1 Cdn Air Div Order (Vol 5, Order 5-035) that goes into the specifics for RCAF TEs/Units.  That order is a ref in the applic TPs and QSs I have seen in the RCAF.  I'd hazard a guess the CA and RCN have similar Orders in place.

Without knowing more specifics, I'd say a look at the ref's in the QS/TP/etc etc for a bottom-up look, you should be able to follow the trail *up* that way.  If you can, a good place to ask is the Standards cell where you are.

Depending on the nature/severity of the issue/problem, the way ahead should be found in other policy, examples being Remedial Measures, Admin Review, etc.  Info on those are avail in the DAODs (5019 series) and there is some good info on the CMP site as well.

Thanks for that Eye.....this is in reference to students performance. I am in a training environment. Standards are telling me one things wrt failing PO and PCs before going to PRB, and they can't provide documents to back it up

Which element do you belong to? The Army uses the LFCO on individual trg as a guideline, but your school should have a specific set of orders / SOPs that are used.

Just because your Stds guy can't back up what they are saying, doesn't mean it doesn't exist - they just don't know. All too frequently these days, "the way it is" is actually the way it is, but the individual quoting it doesn't understand why or where to apply these things.

For example, in CFSME, before PRB is achieved for an academic failure:

- first fail = Level 1 w/ Course O and Stds Rep
- subsequent fail = Level 2 (IRB) w/ Trg Sqn OC and Stds O. The outcome can be return to trg or PRB (this is the simplified version)

I believe the rest of CTC uses the same formula, however I have not instructed in any of the other 6 CTC schools.

If this is a formal course, I'd be looking at the QS and TP, it should be laid out there.

opcougar,
There is not a standard CF PRB process.  The environmental commands have orders that give direction on this.  In the Army, most areas have directives with further instructions, and most pure training establishments have their own layer of instructions.  As stated above, you will also find further direction for PRBs in the TP of courses.

If you give a little more insight on what you are trying to achieve (and where) then someone might be able to give a better answer.
