good day everyone. Have a stupid question)))
I have strong accent, plus sometimes have hard to understand someone who speaks rly fast.
My question is : what do u think, how many push ups i will do a day, for miscommunication?
Next question : its ok to bring with me parracord rope, waterproof cover for map, waterproof bags, multitool , camping stove(small size, for boiling water in cup), small propane tank for stove😂 ? Or they will throw all shit in garbage?
Thank you for time to answer!

They will provide everything you need.

If your English/French (pick one) is not good enough to understand the instruction, you are going to have issues.

Don’t bring any of that stuff. You won’t be allowed to use it. They won’t throw it out but they will put it in civvy lockup and give it back to you at the end of BMQ. The point of BMQ is to teach you how to do stuff the army way with the equipment the army gives you.

as for the accent, if you are hard to understand, they will have you repeat whatever you are saying. Or ask you yes or no questions.

As you progress further in your career, you will be allowed more flexibility on some things/kit that you can use in the field. Don't sweat your BMOQ and likely your DP1. Just bring the issued stuff and the CAF will provide the rest. You'll quickly learn what works and what doesn't. Once your at your Unit observe what your peers bring to the field and talk to them about what kit your chain of command will allow you to use that isn't issued. As per your list the fol will likely be issued to you any how if you require it: paracord, maps and talk to cover them with, multitool (although I heard a rumour they weren't issue in Halifax any more), stove and fuel. The zip lock bag that comes in ration packs also make great waterproof bags for small items. Good luck in training.
