I don't know that US threats can have any impact on the situation as the rioters present an existential threat to the regime. If they don't put the uprising down they lose power whether the US intervenes or not.Don't make me warn you again...

True but its the IRGC and religious police cracking down violently. It stands to reason if the IRGC was struck, and weakened, the chance of a revolt working increases.
I could see Israel and the U.S. going ‘shock and awe’ on IRGC and Basij C2. They would articulate it as giving Iranians the opportunity to determine their own path without being violently repressed. It would also probably be necessary anyway to enable U.S. and maybe Israeli boots on the ground to exploit and dismantle Iran’s nuclear sites.

In the days of yore when a revolt happened or a counter revolt was the TV and radio stations were taken and held and used by whoever took them. I would reckon this is the 21st century equivalent of that.

If you aren't prepared to support your words of encouragement with action than don't encourage people to fight against their government. You will only get them killed for no reason at all. And I don't think HMCS Ottawa is capable of lobbing missiles into Iran nor do I think that the other signatories to that release are willing to do anything to support the uprising. They are simply catering to their constituents feelings
