2100 eastern. And Sec State Marco Rubio is briefing congressional leadership on Iran hours prior.

With the F-22s still transiting and USS Gerald Ford still docked in Souda it’ll probably be just a couple more days yet. Probably not much longer if it’s gonna happen.

Not a very flattering piece on the current conditions on GF. Yes the article is out of India, but it references the WSJ as a source for a fair amount of the information.

More than 45 minutes waiting time to use the toilets​

According to the Wall Street Journal, the crew of the USS Ford aircraft carrier has to wait in toilet lines for more than 45 minutes. This aircraft carrier, the most expensive in history and designed to showcase American power, is unable to provide basic sanitation for its own crew. This problem has been ongoing since January.....

Due to the sensitive mission, they are rarely allowed to communicate with their families. They are off social media and cannot use the internet, thus cutting them off from the rest of the world. This is further fuelling their anger.

USS Gerald Ford has left port in Crete. It’s a day’s sail to the eastern Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel. That would put a carrier in the eastern Mediterranean and another off the coast of Oman.

In the past day, more F-15s, F-35s, and F-22s have been moving east from the U.S. commercial satellite photos show F-22s on the ground in Israel. LOTS of tankers are in theatre or positioned to assist aircraft on the way there from the U.S.

So yeah. The already ridiculous buildup continues to grow and that’s going to be costly to sustain. Coupled with the grim and cagey talk of some members of Congress who were briefed by Rubio, I feel a decision is imminent if not already made.
