Iran Super Thread- Merged

I am trying to determine if these are cook-offs or negligent discharges.

There is a clip of some Iranian saying they have lost control of their outlying positions and that they are now acting independently following the intent of the last order received.

Mission Command IRGC style.
Their leadership has been decimated. Critical C2 nodes have been obliterated. Their ability to coordinate is gone. The launches that we're still seeing are likely based off of standing orders, or like you pointed out, local initiative.

I’m gonna wait for some solid corroboration on this one… US Government could be pushing stuff out as part of an info game to incite other dissidents to action.

The Kurds have some territory in Iran; I’d wait to see tangible evidence of government forces being pushed out of places they actually are, or being engaged in distinctly increased fighting.

Here's hoping they aren't stabbed in the back for the fourth (fifth?) time.

EDIT: Apparently some Kurdish groups are denying that it's happening. Fog of war.
Kurdish groups seem to have coalesced over the past little bit - except for a couple, with some claims of strikes starting the past weekend ...
... with the Wikipedia page already in play.

Didn't save the Wehrmacht during WW 2, though, either. As others smarter than me have said, if it's war, it's war - "special military operations" or "major combat operations" taxonomy notwithstanding.
I suppose the sub could have ordered the ship to heave to and either be boarded or the crew sent to lifeboats before it is sent to the bottom, but I suspect the rules of engagement from SecWar have been fairly specific.

I see a Marxist/Leninist Party or two in there….

More Old Testament than New Testament, if one wants to use those markers these days.

Didn't think I did, but haven't dug toooooooooooo deep yet, either.

Wonder how the Royalist Centralists feel about the "wanna run our own show" Kurds eventually wanting a piece of the action?

I think everyone, everyone, better be praying to whoever their version of God is that Iran doesn’t descend into a Syria fragmentation civil war. The ripple effect across its neighbours will be much larger in magnitude than what Syria was. A new version of ISIS or a resurrected ISIS could easily occur.
Iran is a country with 92 million people living in it. If only 10% of them become wandering refugees that’s over 9 million people. What will the Gulf States do? What will the Saudi’s do? What will the EU do?
