The IRGCASF has hit an (probably Israeli) F-35 over central Iran.
The Iranians are not claiming it as shot down, though: damaged, and forced to make an emergency landing 'on one of US facilities in the area'.
AFAIK, this is not even the first such case: only the most serious (concerning F-35s) so far - and the first of which the video was released.

I don’t think a President of the United States has ever made a joke about the US getting a beating at Pearl Harbour.
Certainly not in front of the Prime Minister of Japan.
In the context of the question and conversation in that meeting I doubt it was an original thought of Trumps own making, especially with his vast intellect and phenomenal credentials as a military historian. (He must have recently heard it from someone else, like an advisor or crony.)

Which at some point raises the question of whether any "war crimes" are committed. Does anyone care? The topic should at least rate a mention, but some of what pundits are producing just seems to take for granted that it's no big deal if Iran escalates any way it pleases.
