This is not an offramp it is a recipe for a slaughtering of the republicans during the midterms. The Americans that I know have significant pride in their country and if they see their leadership kowtowing to a bunch of in their minds ragheads they will rise up against Trump.
A deal resembling these terms would be an unqualified US capitulation.

What a disaster this has been. Somehow every deal is worse than the last one. Next up they are getting McDonalds franchises and a free trade agreement.

There is a smidgen of schadenfreude involved with the country that exported terror around the world being threatened from both ends by terrorists. I wont lose much sleep over the House of Saud being humiliated.

Generally KSA isn’t a terrorism exporter.
They export radicals for others to use.
They are murderous and duplicitous, but unlike NK, Russia, Iran, terrorism isn’t a state sponsored activity.
One may also point out that while they are generally not very nice folks, unlike some other folks in the gulf the Saud Royal family have not been linked to terrorism financing either.

Realistically while Iran may consider Israel enemy number 1, as far as regional targets for Iran, the House of Saud is #2 and high on the list of people to exterminate — occasionally being displaced by Jordan due to Jordanian military activity.

Idk Kevin. Wahhabism was the state sanctioned school of Salafi Sunni Islam of Saudi Arabia until 2022. The blood of hundreds of thousands are on the hands of the government that promulgated and funding madrasas and imams to export that puritanical nonsense. Even moreso because the government IS the House of Saud.

At a certain point as distasteful as this conflict is for the majority of Americans, the deal will be to sour to stomach.
Which let’s be honest for most is solely due to pain at the pump - which is less than everyone else, or a direct impact to a friend or loved one. A smaller segment being worried about the resultant effects on future US policy.
I believe it getting mode and more likely POTUS will just leave, and let everyone else bear the cleanup issues.
The ether swallowed a much larger post with bullet point issues and the sheer denial of the administration here to address.

I would think that drawing a journalist to one of your embassy on false pretense, hacking him to death and cutting him into pieces on order from the head of government constitutes state sponsored terrorism.

I totally understand your point.
I raised the point about exporting radicals for others to use intentionally. KSA (and they were not alone in Sunni land) in using Wahhabism to collate and export the most likely threats to their existence.
Pakistani ISI created the Taliban first to fight the Russians then as a potential ally against India and continued the help to them through OEF and even had ISI personnel helping the Taliban during the withdrawal of NATO forces.
I’d suggest it isn’t terrorism as they tried to hide it. There was no terror intent more like the Mafia murdering an enemy.
I have no love whatsoever for the House of Saud, I am just leery of what could replace it.

The difference is POTUS will blame everyone else - as opposed to signing an awful deal.
Beside Israel isn’t going to accept that sort of deal - they may not care about the SoH, but they aren’t going to tolerate enrichment.

But we also know that KSA finances all those wonderful Wahhabi Mosques in the West where they clearly teach (this is fully documented and with the full support and knowledge of the KSA leadership) that the "other" people of the Western nation in which they live "don't pay the jizya", don't acknowledge Allah as sole god and Mohammad as the prophet , so you know what the third and final option is that is your duty to carry out.

I agree, and I don't think the rest of the world is prepared for it.
On the bright side, I already have a good enough phone, PC, and appliances to ride out the crazy.
