No, I’m not suggesting that shooting down Iran Airlines aircraft is a viable option.

I would say shoot down any Iranian airliner/aircraft flying to Yemen and make a very public notice that you will do so. They have no pressing need to go there.

Majority of hails and warnings were broadcast on military frequencies(they mistook an A300 jetliner for an F-14). The warnings on civilian frequencies were directed at "unidentified aircraft". Apparently the CV was in Iranian waters when it attacked.

A commercial flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after a bloody clash in the cockpit on Wednesday morning that Israeli officials suspect was an attempt to wrest control of the plane and crash it in an act of terrorism. None of the 180-odd passengers, most of whom were Israeli, were reported injured.

People who were on the plane, and loved ones to whom they’d spoken, told Hebrew media that it appeared the flight’s copilot had stabbed the captain, at which point the plane went out of control. The plane initially plummeted some 17,000 feet in under a minute.

A group of Israeli passengers managed to storm the cockpit, subdue the stabber and stabilize the plane, witnesses said. It was speculated that the captain, even as he was being attacked, may have opened the cockpit door.

Funny, CNBC doesn’t mention any of this but they are running an article talking about oil shipments are back to the same shipping levels through the Gulf of H as before the war started.

CNBC and other rmajor media are always slow on reporting these; generally the OSINT nerds are quick to correctly identify there have been hits, but this tends to fall short of the rigor that major outlets require to publish. Which is reasonable.
