Is there a time limit to get an IC on past events

A member i work with  ( MCpl ) got an IC for something that happens over 5 months ago.  This is related to work performance, and he did sign
a bad PDR a 5b i do believe.  Now my question is there a time limit for an IC to be given after the incident ? Can he get an IC after getting a 5b on his PDR.

Dicsiplinary cases are tough to second guess. The sounds like there is more to the story that you may not be aware of.

to the best of my knowledge, there is no stated limits for issuing an IC.  That said, there has to be a common sense timeline.

If he continues to exhibit unacceptable work performance then yes.  ICs for work performance are seldom given for a single incident, so the first identification of unacceptable work performance may have been five months ago, but if the issue continues, or even worsens, then an IC would be appropriate.

OK if the IC given and signed on a date, gets revised and reformulated 57 days later, if I want to put in a redress, the 3 months start at the latest date or the first IC ?
This is only to know if my para 2 of grievance has to state if I'm inside my time limits

Both NOI got returned unsigned by my CO. If this continue, I'll miss the 3 months windows after the latest (reformulated IC)
