Israeli X-Ray Vision, puzzling

The first major difference between XRay and Thermal (Heat detector) is their position on the ElectroMagnetic Spectrum. XRays are to the left of Visible light and Thermal is on the right side of Visible light in the Spectrum. The wave of an XRay are smaller than Visible light, and Thermal waves are larger than Visible light. Those are the more scientific differences.

In usage the big difference Id imagine is that the XRay vision is going to be an active sensor that will have to send energy out and relies on a reflection of energy back to the sensor to determine what the object is.

*** Edit*** I missed the first part of the video, but its Radiowaves they use AKA RADAR, not XRay. Radiowaves are to the right of Thermal on the spectrum, and require an active sensor to produce the energy and require a return from an object to determine what it is.

While thermal (heat detector) is a passive sensor that requires an object to be omitting energy (heat) for the sensor to collect and determine what the object is.

So the biggest differences are Radar is an ACTIVE sensor, while Thermal is a PASSIVE sensor.

Make sense?
