I am currently trying to re-enlist into the armed forces. I just learnt that I have an outstanding issue with kit, I served about 26 yrs ago and did return all kit to  my unit. I thought this issue was resolved and they say it is not. What can i do, will this harm me from enlisting. Also, i was told that I had an issue with my discharge. I left on my own accord, I did not show up for duty for several months, ( this was resolved) I was young and made a mistake, I did return when giving a letter, upon my return i was made Cpl. After a few months i choose to leave and I thought I was given a proper discharge as voluntary. How can I rectify this issue. I really like to serve my country again and now am in 40's. Any advice from people serving at this time or have know of personel with similair issue. I will pay the money for equipment as long as investigation is done and if found I get reimburst. I have been with Corrections for over 20yrs and latley doing contract jobs for 6yrs that have not panned out.

Interesting.  At the time that you claim to have been Released the policy was to recover the cost of any missing kit from your Severence package/last pay/Revenue Canada.......Or that is what I was lead to believe.
