Actually, if there‘s one thing I don‘t condone it‘s careerism and personal politics. Unfortunately it‘s a reality.
I actually rewrote my remarks in my above post several times, as my first few drafts were definitely peppered with some personal venting and I saw no need to dredge up the details.
I think my post got across what I wanted, which is the fact that even in an honourable pursuit such as creating a tomb for the unknown, you can‘t get away from the politics and careerism which are tying up the system. I‘m frustrated and revolted by it too.
I will put that at the back of my mind on Sunday, and watch the ceremonies in the spirit of rememberance.
