job in holding?

hey. i think i got some good news today. my name was picked off the merit list. he said he had a job being held for me (infantry) he said hes just not sure when im going in for basic. he said he will call next month. so that means im in now? or what? :mg: :fifty: :gunner: :soldier: :evil:

Sounds promising to me. If they told me that I would be freaking out right now. (I mean that in a good way.) How does this merit list work anyway? Does it go by senority and/or results on tests? Can you keep getting bumped? I just recently got called to update some things in my file, now I‘m assuming I‘m in a good position to be selected. My trade has been closed since at least last Aug, when I completed my pt test. Good possibility it reopens in Apr.

Whats the minimum time they can call you before a course starts,,, 2 weeks,, oui?

They are supposed to give you a month‘s notice. But I‘ve heard people getting called 2 weeks before they are supposed to start basic.

Yes... I have known I was leaving for over a week now and I leave on April 11th (over a month away).
