Hi, I have been interested in joinging the army reserve for a while, but when I looked into it I found out that I would be joining the Highland fusseiliers which is down here, then I founf out about the foresters, and I was wondering when do they stop accepting applications for the summer camp?

Okay, it‘s not a summer camp. It‘s basic training.

Where do you live?

There is usually a specific deadline that you need to meet if you are to get on courses for the summer.

Where do you live? Because there is about a 4 hours driving difference between the KF of C and the Foresters.

I live in Waterloo, but I have a cottage up North in Euginia

I live in Toronto, Scarborough, where would i most likely be sent?

I live in Toronto, Scarborough, where would I most likely have to travel too, I am just wondering if it is too far to bus.

And are you spending your summer in cottage?

All reserve units shut down training during summer, so what matters is where do you live during fall/winter/spring.

RGJ, you can correct mistakes in your post with the edict person. Don‘t waste bandwidth, please.

As for your question, QOR is supposedly opening an armoury in Scarberia/Scarlem. :)

You should join the unit closest to where you LIVE not where you vacation in the summer. There are a lot of units in the Tee Dot RJG. What do you want to do? Armour, Artillery, Tech, Infantry?

Assuming you‘re talking about reserves, you would go to where your unit is. From what I can remember off the top of my head, there are three armouries: Ft York (downtown, near the Ex) Moss Park (also downtown) and Denison (up near Downsview- Sheppard and Allan area).

It shouldn‘t be too far- all three are readily accessible by TTC. (Denison is walking distance from Downsview subway station.)

Hey I'm 15 about to 16 in may and am sure that I want to join the army when I am old enough. So I've decided that I would join the reserves while in school. Seeing as there is next to no information on them on google I decided I'd try here. I was wondering: Where is BMQ?, What are the people in the regiment like?, and what type of a role do they play? (ex... do they get deployed places??)

Thanks for the help :cdn:
